About Louie McMillan-Grant

Louie McMillan-Grant is a New Zealand actor, currently living in New York after attending the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts.

Acting in theatre since he could talk, Louie turned his attention to the screen when he starred in his first feature; indie New Zealand mockumentary “Two Idiots and a Tin Whistle”, in which he played the self-obsessed antagonist Giovanni. Since moving to New York, Louie has acted on a variety of projects, including the acclaimed Web series “Happy Even After” in which he played the primary character’s love interest Elliot, as well as award winning writer Bear Kosik’s play “First Light”.

Since moving to New York, Louie has expanded his talents into writing, directing and modeling, most recently working with photographer Anthony Tudisco for Tom Ford Beauty.

Louie spend his spare time writing future projects as well as music. His dream is to one day work in almost all areas of film making, from the writing, acting, directing and to even the scoring. While initially writing and acting primarily for comedy, Louie has begun to branch out into drama, discovering a specific interest in psychological thrillers and horrors. One of these such projects is Thomas Kuc’s “Latent” which is currently running the film festival circuit.

Louie currently lives in New Jersey with his partner and fellow Kiwi actor/writer Ailise Beales.
